NO DIGNITY OF LABOUR IN INDIA-WHY?
Most of you reading this must have had a househelp in your house (Well, before the coronavirus,that is obvious.) But for the ones that don't, do you know that most of the househelps don't get the respect they deserve?Well now you do! This is because there is no Dignity of Labour in India. You must have heard elders,or maybe your own parents, telling you this-"Study well and get a remunerative job or you will have to wash the dishes and clean the floors when you grow up."Look!This is where that mindset started from. Unknowingly,the elders have fit into their children's mind that cleaning houses and doing the household works is something shameful. And later in the future, they start feeling the same thing and don't respect people who do those type of works which is not a good practice at all!In fact, we are the ones who are depending on them for our many important works; it's just that the work they do , we don't find them salient.
