HOW TO OVERCOME WITH THE FEELING ''AM I INFERIOR TO OTHERS?''

Did you feel Yourself, like a person who is not capable of doing anything when you see someone who is better than you in some/many aspects?  I am sure you must have felt it because this happens to everyone at some point of time in their lives. But here arises the question, how do I get rid off or deal with this feeling? Read on to know more!

1) STOP COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS.

First of all, stop comparing yourself with others! This is the foundation for developing an inferiority complex. No matter how talented the other person is, never compare yourself with others. When you start doing this, the other people will always appear better than you to you even if they aren't.

2) REMEMBER, YOU ARE NOT INCOMPETENT!

The next mistake we do is that we feel that we are inept and start comparing ourselves with others. You observe that people are better than you in some aspects and this leads you to think that you are incapable. Remember that you may not be best at everything, but you are efficient to some extent in some skills.

3) DO NOT BLAME YOURSELF FOR EVERY UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT.

This feeling is rare among people, but is very unsafe. It usually takes place when you are working in a team. If your team loses, you blame yourself for it. This goes on and on until you feel responsible for every unfortunate incident. Everything is not your fault dear! Mistakes do happen. No one is perfect. Shake that feeling off.

4) AVOID CRITICISTIC COMPANY.

This is the most important of all these pointers. Why, you think? Because the people who you are surrounded by, help shape your character - good company helps you develop an easy-going, confident and kind character; while bad company makes you develop an inferiority complex, a pessimistic and a timid nature in life. People who you are surrounded by should inspire you to do new things, to support you and make you feel capable, not inferior. So, choose your company wisely. Don't acquaint yourself with criticistic company. (I don't mean your well-wishers here. They just show you your mistakes only out of concern.)

5) ASK FOR HELP IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED SUPPORT.

Last but not the least, if you are not able to get rid of this feeling of inferiority, there is nothing wrong in seeking help; may it be your parents, your friends or others. Help makes the path of self-acceptance and self-love faster.

Remember and revise this mantra when you are feeling insecure or are developing an inferiority complex-

I will know my worth and will not compare myself with others. I know that I am not perfect, I will work on those but will not blame myself for everything. I will cut off any toxic company that will harm my self-confidence. I will not feel embarrassed to ask for help to overcome my insecurities and will hold out a hand to others for the same. And finally, I will love myself for what I am.

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

-Eleanor Roosevelt

I know this is not much but i have tried my bit bring about some change. Remember, you are always capable of bringing change, you should just know how.
