TYPES OF PEOPLE - PART 3
Heyoooo my dear Readers!!! I'm back with another blog, which, if you remember (it's alright if you don't, I told that like a few months ago, and i myself don't remember what my parents said a few minutes ago😝) is the continuation of this series called TYPES OF PEOPLE. This blog is the 3rd and final part of this series and is based on how people INTERACT. Oh, and it's September. No guys, nothing SPECIAL, just AUGUST SLIPPED AWAY INTO A MOMENT OF TIME, COZ IT WAS NEVER MINEEEEEEEE. Not me crying on august 31, when no one pulled up and told me to get in the car, or cancelled their plans just in case I'd call , cause back then i was living for the hope of it alllll😭 (Another TS reference. I'm a swiftie guys, you ought to know that by now 😂)Back to point, I think you must have heard of the MBTI tests? The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Instrument determines your personality. It contains 4 letters, the first one being either E (extrovert) or I (introvert), so maybe that's how you might have heard the term Extrovert or Introvert. But do you know, there is another type of person as well, someone In Between them. By the way, I am an INTJ-T( Turbulent Architect/ Turbulent Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking and Judging)
1) EXTROVERTS
2) INTROVERTS
3) AMBIVERTS
So today, I'll be elaborating on these terms you already know. Stick till the end friends!!
1) EXTROVERTS
"Whoa, you are such an extrovert! You talk sooo much." Extroverts are basically the outgoing, talkative and social butterfly type of person. They can walk up to a COMPLETE STRANGER and talk to them. About what? This is their SUPERPOWER. They can talk to them about ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING. The weather, how the Coronavirus has affected everyone, school and blah blah blah. They can find a common topic with people as easily as pie (out of topic, but I still don't understand this simile. I find making pies so difficult 😆)
2) INTROVERTS
"You stay away from people. Why are you so introverted?" Wallflower. Loner. Shy. Uncommunicative. These are the words we use to refer to an introvert. These introverts will like to avoid large gatherings, stay away from crowds. They love to be left alone, probably with a REALLY GOOD BOOK ,music, some art supplies or even looking at something. Introverts find socializing with new people very difficult; sometimes, they don't even like to talk too long with their close friends as well. Do not feel bad if you feel your INTROVERTED friends are ignoring you. There's no such thing, they just run out of things to say, or they run out of interest, it probably wasn't there in the first place. Unless the ongoing topic is something they like, they'll mostly stay out of the conversation.
3) AMBIVERTS
"You talk, but only with some... Ambivert, huh?" Ambiverts are the people BETWEEN extroverts and introverts. They are neither too nervous nor too comfortable around crowds. Ambiverts contain the best features of the introverts and extroverts. They don't mind too many people, nor do they mind some peace and quiet.
So, now comes the question, which type of person should I be? The answer is........ well, there is no RIGHT ANSWER. But I, personally, feel that being an Ambivert has its perks.
a) AMBIVERTS, ALONG WITH BEING GOOD LISTENERS, ARE ALSO GOOD COMMUNICATORS-
Extroverts are great communicators, while introverts are mostly good listeners, but ambiverts having the best of both introverts and extroverts, can do both of these. They will hear you out completely and will give you thoughtful suggestions in the end.
b) AMBIVERTS DON'T NEED TO TALK WITH EVERYONE
Ambiverts don't like talking with EVERYONE like most extroverts. They will talk with people they are comfortable with or people they ACTUALLY KNOW. This provides balance you know... (My friend Divi started Mission Ambivert, one of the reasons being this one!)
c) THEY CAN COPE WITH THE SITUATION
Most extroverts can't stand 10 minutes without talking much, while introverts can't stand talking TOOOOO much with people; ambiverts are actually fine with both these situations. No one around to talk with? "It's alright! I'll read my book/ i'll stream Folklore and Rare again!" (As i told you before, I am a swiftie and a selenator) Many people around? "I can talk to a few!"
d) THEY AREN'T TOO {cough} IRRITATING {cough}
Some Introverts won't talk to you much, it kind of annoys you when you are the only one Blabbering on and on and they hardly seem interested, while some extroverts will keep on talking and talking which also irritates you. Ambiverts are COOL to talk with, you know?
This was just MY opinion guys, I meant offense to No One. Not you Tanni. Hope you liked this blog and DO COMMENT WHAT TYPE OF PERSON you are!! And no matter which type of person you are, BE YOU. You, in your own IMPERFECT self, is what makes you PERFECT. 💖getting too philosophical Jhanvi . So, yeah. This is the end of the TYPES OF PEOPLE series, but fear not, THERE'S ANOTHER SERIES COMING UP YOUR WAY! Brace yourselves for it my dear readers! Too dramatic. Oh by the way, I found this hilarious meme on reddit (image credits to that), so I'mma just leave that here.
For now, bye!!
Signing off,
Jhanvi Pendyala
